Joe took audience members on a ‘musical journey’ as he performed the start of his last four Set Your Soul Alive Tour shows in Bury St Edmunds last night.

The talented singer, who shot to fame after winning The X Factor in 2009, wowed fans with his beautiful tone, incredible vocal range and note-perfect delivery of both known and new songs, supported by his excellent four-piece band.

Making fun of his ‘wardrobe malfunctions,’ ‘magic, flashing microphone’ and warning of possible ‘YouTube exclusives’ after a couple of close calls with the ‘slippery’ floor, he seemed completely at ease on the stage.

Standing ovations followed impressive renditions of Unbreak My Heart, in which he alternated singing verses in Spanish and English, and Nessun Dorma, sang in Italian of course!

In the second half of the show, we played ‘jukebox Joe,’ with the 23-year-old singing parts of songs requested by people in the audience. He was incredible! It was a brave thing to do but something that earned him a lot of respect as his natural talent for singing shone through.

We then partied to Joe’s fun medley of chart-topping songs, which included everything from Sex on Fire and Happy to Moves Like Jagger.

Don’t Stop Believin’ and The Climb (my favourites) were saved for the finale - it was a perfect end to the show!
