Retail technology aimed at enhancing trade in shopping centres has seen a village firm break into new World markets.
Toolbox Marketing in Bardwell exhibited at MAPIC, the biggest International retail and real estate conference, held in Cannes earlier this month.
Amongst its exhibits was a smartphone app that allows everyone working in a shopping centre to instantly communicate with each other, a customer loyalty app that uses GPS location to target potentials shoppers, and a programme that allows retailers to manager their website, social media, apps and customer databases all in one place an engage with what people are saying about a business more easily.
“Shopping centres are having to reinvent themselves as a place people want to be rather than just a place to shop,” said David Fuller-Watts, head of digital marketing at Toolbox.
He said on the back of the MAPIC event the firm had made its first sale to the Middle East and had more than 20 enquiries from all over the World including Turkey, South Africa and Spain, all of which are new markets for Toolbox.
