Mildenhall residents will be able to get a sneak preview of their new community centre on Saturday (March 7).

The redeveloped centre, in St John’s Close, will be officially opened on Tuesday, March 17.

Keystone Development Trust, the building’s developers, is holding a community consultation event tomorrow between 10am and 2pm to allow residents to have a say on their new community facility.

Leigh Driver, Keystone centre manager, said: “This community day will give everyone the chance to get to know their new centre.

“Local people’s input will inform both the future management and use of this valuable community resource.”

The centre was built as part of a £2.7 million redevelopment, which also included 18 affordable homes and received a financial contribution from Forest Heath District Council.

Cllrs John Bloodworth, Nigel Roman and Tony Wheble have urged people to ‘have their say’ about the centre’s future at the event.
