Melford Hall, in Long Melford, is well known for the portraits that hang on its walls, but this picture, sent in by Lynda Brignall, is a bit more modern.

The picture, of Valda Fisher, was taken by Lynda on her iPhone during a visit to the hall .

Lynda, who lives in Bury, wins the chance to have the photo turned into an A3 canvas print, courtesy of Denny Bros’ Sprint Print service in King’s Road, Bury.

Alternatively she can choose to have five smaller glossy prints

“What an eerie sky. I’ve never seen anything quite like it,” writes Wendy Harvey, from Bury St Edmunds, who sent in the picture. She wonders if any reader could explain the phenomenon.

Justin Gray, from Bury St Edmunds, sent in this picture of the ruins of Alton Towers ‘from a different point of view’, taken on the front lawns.
