This week’s winning picture, of a water rail, was taken by Stuart Finley, from Thurston.
Stuart said he took the photo as the bird appeared in the late afternoon sun at Lackford Lakes.
He said the water rail is a ‘shy and very reclusive bird with a very distinctive squeeling call’, so it’s heard much more often than it is seen.
Stuart wins the chance to have his picture made into an A3 canvas print, courtesy of Denny Bros’ Sprint Print service in King’s Road.
Emily Green, from Botesdale, said she took this panoramic picture of a rainbow, which stretched across the whole sky, as she was walking home one afternoon.
Fourteen-year-old Izzy Holland, from Barningham, took this picture while out walking her dog Kithra – a retired guide dog – on a frosty morning.
