Many people were disappointed when the weather prevented them seeing this week’s ‘super moon’. But Robert Robertson, from Bury St Edmunds, managed to snatch this picture of birds flying across the face of the moon just before the rain clouds obscured it.

Robert said he took the picture from an upstairs window at home.

He wins the chance to have the photo made into an A3 canvas print courtesy of Denny Bros’ Sprint Print service in King’s Road, Bury.

St Edmundsbury Cathedral ‘in all its autumn glory’ was photographed by Lynda Brignall.

This agile great tit, which had found a cheeky – and quick – way of grabbing peanuts was photographed by Pat Andrews, from Sicklesmere.
