RAF airlift man from boat in the Wash

A crewman was airlifted from a fishing boat in the Wash off King’s Lynn this morning by a Sea King rescue helicopter from RAF Wattisham.

The fishing boat called the Coastguard after the man injured his leg at about 7.30am. Hunstanton lifeboat was also alerted to attend the vessel.

The man was flown to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.
