A Stowmarket fire crew used food instead of ladders to rescue a kitten stuck on a roof this afternoon.

The fire service were called to Jubilee avenue at about 3.50pm where a kitten that had been a little too ambitious in its exploring had become stuck on a roof.

The RSPCA were called and the animal was tempted down with the help of a dish of strong smelling food in only 15 minutes.
