SCHOOL children proved they were ‘practically perfect in every way’ after staging the beloved musical Mary Poppins.
Year 3 and 4 pupils at Ixworth Primary hit the high notes during two performances of the show for family and friends.
The budding entertainers, aged seven-nine, had been rehearsing the show, based on the Walt Disney classic, since February.
Playing the lead roles were Madison Smith as the title character, Obi Brinkley (Bert), Hollie Hurst (Jane Banks), Harry Basson (Michael Banks), Cam Foreman (Mr Banks) and Charlie Green (Mrs Banks).
Catherine Legg, Year 4 teacher and organiser, said: “It went down very well and the children rose to the occasion with packed audiences both times.
“They found skills and talents some of them didn’t know they had. They all enjoyed performing.
“The leads found it challenging as they had a lot of lines to learn but they were brilliant.”
The school holds a spring time production annually and Mrs Legg has overseen the show for the past four years.
