Election fever gripped not just the country but swept through the corridors of Ickworth Park Primary School in Horringer as it celebrated Democracy Week.

Pupils acted as party leaders, sharing their manifestos and campaigning to gain votes for their chosen charities.

Class teacher Danielle Hunt said the project allowed children to develop their confidence, public-speaking and leadership skills.
