Mud pies, cakes and shakes are being created by Bury pupils thanks to a donation from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation.

Abbots Green Community Primary School has installed a new mud kitchen after receiving the £234 grant.

Head Heidi Franklin said: “The mud kitchen will be much welcomed by the children in Early Years supporting their imaginative play.”

The school was nominated for the donation by Elaine Springham, a customer adviser at the Bury branch of Norwich & Peterborough Building Society, which is part of the Yorkshire.
