SCHOOLchildren donned a variety of colourful costumes to celebrate St George’s Day.
The pupils at Howard Middle School, in Beard Road, Bury St Edmunds, dressed as knights, made use of the colours of the St George’s flag and wore sports outfits to mark the occasion.
The school’s Beale house chose the day as one of their fund-raising activities for the year.
Pupils paid to dress up and the money collected will go towards buying computer equipment for a school in Mali.
A spokeswoman said: “It was very successful and the children enjoyed it.
“We were very impressed with the imagination and creativity displayed in some of the costumes.”
