Royalty, an American pop star and a British Secret Service agent will all soon be making an impact on the Moreton Hall pub.

On May 4, the pub in Lawson Place, will be hosting a James Bond-themed casino night, with an optional black tie dress code for men.

Tickets to the event, which will run from 8pm until late, are priced at £5 each but everyone taking part will receive £5 in gaming chips on the night.

Games will include roulette, black jack and poker and there will be a free food buffet.

Tickets are available from the pub bar, with proceeds to Cancer Research UK.

Two weeks later, on May 18, the pub will host E Factor.

Anyone with a singing talent is encouraged to take part.

Judges – masked as Justin Bieber, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Her Majesty the Queen – will be asked to score the performance of participants on three songs of their choice.

The winner will receive a £100 prize.

A £5 payment will be requested as part of registration, to be refunded on the night.

Proceeds from E Factor will go to St Nicholas Hospice Care, in Bury St Edmunds, for which the pub has raised more than £1,100 since September.
