Private tenants asked to help with renting survey

Have your say

Two councils want help in gathering information which could benefit the homeless.

West Suffolk Lettings Partnership, part of the joint housing service of Forest Heath and St Edmundsbury councils, is asking people who either rent or have tried to rent from private landlords to fill in a confidential online survey.

It says the information will help it to create tenancies for those in urgent housing need.

Landlord liaison officer Darryl Durno, said: “If you are renting, or have looked at renting privately, we would be grateful if you could spend just five minutes completing the short survey, by visiting the Forest Heath or St Edmundsbury council websites or going to facebook/WSLettingsPartnership or Twitter @WSLettings.

“We will use the information you give us about your experience, good or bad, to help create more private tenancies for those in need.”

West Suffolk Lettings Partnership says it has created 30 tenancies in the private rented sector since it was established in November.

Private landlords or letting agents who would like to work with the partnership should contact Darryl Durno on 01284 757605 or email
