Fine Not Fine mental health campaign launch enjoys a 'powerful and positive' launch in Bury St Edmunds
A Barrow teenager was 'staggered' by the launch of the mental health campaign she inspired in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday.
Sasha Campbell, 18, was at at the Arc shopping centre for the launch of Fine Not Fine, which encourages early intervention to help young people struggling with their mental health.
Mum Jordanna said the launch was 'amazing', with many members of public engaging with the campaign and writing postcards to MPs Jo Churchill and Matt Hancock. to lobby Government to improve mental health services.
"One of my favourite points of the day was a member of the public stepping up and telling his story. It was so powerful and positive," said Jordanna.
"So many people out there are suffering and the launch gave a sense of community and that it is okay to talk – there needs to be a lot more if it."
The next steps for Fine Not Fine include a four-day awareness-raising walk along the Norfolk coast next month and an event in Bury called 'The Big Scream', on July 20, which will see artists across the town recreate Edvard Munch's Scream masterpiece.
