Pot outside Bury St Edmunds art gallery targeted

Plant pots outside a Bury St Edmunds gallery were targeted overnight.

One pot was smashed in the incident, outside Chelmer Fine Art, in The Traverse, last Friday.

The pots were chained to the wall and had just been replanted for the winter.

Michelle Bailey, of the gallery, said: "Someone had tried to pull it off the wall and it looked like it had been kicked.

"It is very sad. I've been here two years in January and the pots have been here that whole time. We loved being part of Bury in Bloom this year. We look after the pots and they make the shop look nice."

The damage has since been cleared.

"It is such a shame. You can't believe people would be so senseless," added Michelle.
