Police seek Bury St Edmunds collection box thief

The public is being asked to keep an eye out for a man who stole an RNLI charity box from a fish and chip shop in Bury St Edmunds.

The incident occurred at 5.50pm on Saturday, June 13 in the Golden Chip chip shop in St Johns Street.

A male suspect ran off with an RNLI charity box that was snatched from the counter.

The man is described as having a dark complexion, 6ft 1 in height with longish dark brown hair. He was slim, wore glasses and was unshaven. He was wearing a green anorak.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 referencing crime BU/15/184
