Police are now searching beside the A11 in Thetford in an effort to trace a missing man after his dog’s collar was found by the side of the road.

Tomasz Czech, 54, went missing from his Chester Way home on Friday night, leaving at about 6pm to take his dog for a walk.

He is described as white, around 5ft 8in and of average build.

He has black hair and was wearing a black jacket with green markings on it, blue jeans and black trainers when he was last seen.

His dog is a large brown boxer dog. Mr Czech would normally take his dog for long walks in the woods and pathways next to the Little River Ouse in the direction of Brandon, according to a police spokesman.

His dog’s collar was found near the Brandon Road roundabout.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen Tomasz or his dog in the Thetford and Brandon areas.

Anyone with information should contact Norfolk Police on 101.
