Police are trying to trace a car following a collision in which a motorcyclist was killed on the A143 at Great Barton today, Sunday.

Police were contacted at 11.50am this morning, Sunday June 7, to reports of a collision between a Range Rover and a motorcycle.

The air ambulance was called for assistance, but the rider of the motorcycle sadly died at the scene.

Officers would like to speak with the driver of a blue Vauxhall, thought to be a Corsa, who may be able to assist with their enquiries. It is believed that this car may have been overtaken by the motorbike prior to the collision.

The road was closed whilst a collision investigation got underway and was reopened at 7.30pm this evening.

Calls should be made to the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 quoting reference CAD 182 of 7/6.
