Police are appealing for witnesses after a spate of burglaries in Stowmarket

Between 7pm on Thursday July 24 and 9am on Friday July 25, offenders broke into four outbuildings on Crowe Street belonging to the Museum of East Anglian Life, stealing a small amount of money from one of the buildings.

Jo Rooks, Learning Officer at the museum said: “They broke into a number of outbuildings, workshops and sheds.

“They only took £2 but caused damage when they broke through the locks.”

Between 5pm on Saturday July 26 and 1pm on Sunday July 27, five sheds on an allotment site in Bury Road were broken into and a gardening net and tools stolen from within.
