Police are investigating two smoke grenade incidents in Bury St Edmunds.

On Saturday, July 7, at 12.20am, a smoke grenade was put through the letterbox of a home in Kendall Close.

The grenade left scorch marks to the carpet and also caused smoke damage to a wall in the property.

On the same day at 1.15am, the same method was used and caused damage to a property in Daisy Avenue.

Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire and Rescue attended the scene and no one was injured.

Detectives are linking the two incidents and anyone with any information should contact Suffolk Police on 101 quoting crime reference numbers 37/37581/18 or 37/37589/18.
