Police are investigating an allegation of sexual assault at Needham Lake.

The Needham Market nature reserve has been cordoned off by police today as they carry a full investigation.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police are asking anyone who was in the Needham Lakes area between 8pm and 10.30pm last night to come forward as officers investigate an allegation of sexual assault.

“The victim has given the name of a man alleged to have been involved in the incident and police are carrying out a full investigation as to what has occurred.

“Officers are asking anyone who may have been in the area between these times last night, Tuesday March 3, particularly anyone who was in the car park near the family play area and the small kiosk, to come forward.”
