Police hunt after bottle attack in Thetford

Police who cordoned off part of Thetford town centre on Friday night and Saturday morning say a man was attacked with broken glass.

The victim, a man in his 20’s, was in Bridge Street at about 9pm on Friday when he was approached by another man struck him with what police believe was a glass bottle before making off from the scene.

The victim was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, to be treated for lacerations to his face, ear and torso.

Police cordoned off open land at Butten Island on the Little Ouse river.
