Police are appealing for information after an 18-year-old woman was followed last week.

The incident took place at about 4.20pm Thursday April 2, beginning in Lake Avenue, Bury St Edmunds.

As the woman walked past the Post Office, heading towards Bunbury Road, she was approached by a man who tried to engage her in conversation and then began to follow her. He then got into his car driving slowly alongside her, continuing to try and talk to her until he eventually drove off.

Officers would like to talk to this man regarding the incident. He is described as Asian, aged in his early 20s, around 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, with short black hair, wearing dark trousers and a grey hooded top.

He was driving a ‘new looking’ dark grey Seat, possibly an Ibiza, with yellow brake calipers.

Anyone who thinks they may know this man, or who has information about this incident, is asked to contact PC Victoria McNee at Bury St Edmunds Police Station on 101 quoting reference BU/15/963.
