Police appeal after fatal A1075 collision




A man and woman in their 70s have died following a two-car collision on the A1075 at Great Hockham.

The collision happened at 1.18pm in Wretham Road yesterday (Wednesday, August 28) and involving a blue Peugeot 206, and a white Kia Rio.

Police, ambulance service and a volunteer of SARS critical care team attended the scene.

The driver of the Kia, a man in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger of the same vehicle, a woman in her 70s, was taken to hospital by ambulance and sadly later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Peugeot, a woman in her 30s, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital with serious internal injuries.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, but has since reopened.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dash cam footage.
