Police are appealing for information after a dog walker and dog were both bitten near Knettishall Heath on Sunday.

At around 7.45pm, a male and female were walking their dog close to Knettishall Heath airfield when their Dachshund was attacked by an Alsatian dog.

They tried to separate the dogs and were bitten in the process, with the female receiving an injury to her hand.

The owner of the Alsatian is described as a white male, 60-65 years old, with short cropped grey hair. He was walking three dogs which were described as two Alsatians and a black Labrador/Collie.

Officers want to speak to the owner of the dog and anyone who may know who they are or who may have witnessed the incident.
