This week’s photograph features kind-hearted weight-lifters in February 1994.
The group, which consisted of nine young men, took part in a pounds for £s charity challenge at Bury St Edmunds Sports Centre.
Using a bench press, they tried to raise as much weight as possible above their body weight.
The highest was achieved by Mr D Pitt, from Great Whelnetham, who raised 47 kilos above his body weight.
They had trained for two months in preparation for the sponsored weight lift, which raised around £500 for the British Heart Foundation.
Are you one of the charitable weight-lifters pictured here?
