Personal trainer’s sports day boosts tally for hospice challenge
Fun-filled sports challenges added to a personal trainer’s fund-raising tally for Bury St Edmunds’ St Nicholas Hospice Care.
Lucy Cronin and her 365Motivate Team organised a sports day championship at House Farm, in Timworth, with egg and spoon, sack and three-legged races on Sunday.
There was also a creative chocolate eating game while wearing boxing gloves as well as a bootcamp session, bake sale and picnic.
Raising £152.91, the event was part of the team’s efforts for the Jacobs Allen Accumulator Challenge, which sees businesses battle it out to turn £50 donated by sponsors Jacobs Allen into as much as they can for the hospice.
Lucy said: “It was a great day, we were so lucky with the weather - the sun shined for us all day.
“We had 25 of the 356Motivate team there.”
Through individual challenges, the 365Motivate team is completing 874 miles in exercise which is the distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
Activities completed so far range from cycling to running, walking, swimming and an obstacle course.
So far they have raised £960.17 for the hospice.
