Parents, friends and local companies chip in to tidy up Ixworth Primary’s playground
Things are looking brighter and tidier around Ixworth Primary School thanks to the hard work of its friends.
Friends of Ixworth Primary School organised a working party to brighten up some of the outdoor areas in the school playground.
A large team of parents, family and friends rolled up their sleeves and painted fences, built a large shed for playtime toys, repainted the giant chess board and swept and cleared leaves.
Ingham-based Urban Forestry, generously donated a truck load of bark chippings for a new picnic zone and for the area under the climbing frames.
Headteacher Pip Whiteside said: “We are blessed to have so many people and local businesses who are prepared to give of their time and resources to support our village school and would like to thank everyone.”
