Overnight thefts from cars in Mildenhall and Lakenheath sparks police warning

Motorists are being reminded to secure their vehicles after thieves targeted three cars in Mildenhall and Lakenheath last night.

Two of the incidents took place in Woodlands Way, Mildenhall where a silver Mazda 323 was entered and a Kenwood car stereo was stolen. The second incident involved a blue BMW 518 which had a JVC subwoofer stolen from the boot and damaged caused to the DVD head unit and glove box.

The third theft occured in Kitchener Close, Lakenheath, where a green Honda Civic was entered and a Belkin USB car charger along with an iPhone cable were stolen.

All three cars had been left unlocked and officers are reminding motorists to ensure they always secure their vehicles and remove all property from view.

Anyone with information about any of these thefts is asked to contact Pc Dan Smyth at Mildenhall Police Station on 101 quoting MH/15/362, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
