A Nursery that was on the verge of closure 12 months ago has celebrated its first birthday following a relaunch.
Barrow Little Acorns baby and toddler group had only three members a year ago, but now between 30 and 40 mums take their toddlers and babies to the Monday morning sessions each week.
The group celebrated its first birthday by holding a mini disco with party games and lots of cake for the babies, toddlers and their mums.
Angela Rist, who runs the club, said: “We have had a really good response. Every Monday we hold three craft activities, we have lots of play equipment as well as cakes for the mums.
“People are now asking us to hold more sessions each week and I would like to look into organising days out and events, for example a trip to the seaside.”
