Night-time assault in Thetford leaves man with fractured jaw

A young man was left with a fractured jaw after being punched in the face outside a pub in Thetford last month.

The incident happened at 2.15am on Sunday, January 25, outside the Red Lion Inn in the town’s market place.

The man, in his late teens, was punched twice in the face by another male. The offender then left the scene with two other men in the direction of Castle Street.

The victim was taken to hospital with a fractured jaw and also had a tooth knocked out.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is urged to contact Det Con Sarah Warner at Thetford Police Station on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
