Newmarket double death- police name pair

Two people found dead in Newmarket last week have been named by police following post-mortem examinations.

Police were called to an address in Park Avenue, on Friday, April 26, after a member of the public reported he had found a woman and a young boy both dead in the property.

Pending formal Coroner’s inquest proceedings, police have identified the deceased as 28-year-old Snehashree Sudarshan and her son, 4-year-old Abhay Rao who both lived at the address.

Home Office post-mortem examinations have now been carried out and concluded that Abhay died as a result of compression of the neck in association with wounding to the neck.
