New nursing course in Thetford

A new full time course is being launched at Thetford Learning Centre at the end of the month for students pursuing a career in nursing, midwifery and other health professions.

The Nursing Access to HE Diploma Level 3 is also the first step into higher education courses in nursing, social work, occupational therpay, physiotherapy and other health care degrees.

It will run on Thursday and Fridays from the Thetford Learning Centre, in the Charles Burrell Centre building. Access to Higher Education programmes are designed for learners who may not have had the opportunity to enter higher education earlier in their lives.

Course director Jill Cockman said: “It is a non-intimidating, supportive and friendly course for adults who want to re-enter education.”

The Access course study is of A2 level standard and applicants must be aged 19 or over as of August 31 2015.

It starts on Thursday, February 25 at 9am. For more details, contact 01284 716333 or visit bit.ly/thetfordnursing
