The newest director for Bury St Edmunds’ Business Improvement District (BID), Ourburystedmunds has pledged to be a voice for bars, restaurants and all members of the night time economy.

Heather Warren, who is co-owner of Oakes Barn in St Andrews Street South, has volunteered to be a BID director because she believes the organisation is vital to the success of the town’s economy.

Heather said: “Businesses in the town have to work together to ensure we can offer enough variety for visitors whether that’s during the day or in the evening.

“I want to be an active director and represent all the licensed premises to the best of my ability. But equally, if other licensees have concerns BID may be able to help with, I’m here to listen and ensure any issues are resolved.”

A list of directors and contacts for BID staff can be found in the members’ section of the Ourburystedmunds website.
