A COLLEGE student from Mildenhall has won a county wide competition to design a prom dress and have it made by Elizabeth Mulholland, in Bury St Edmunds.
Natasha King, from Mildenhall College of Technology, had her dress presented to her in front of proud teacher Jax Villenhoven.
Her dress and design, and that of runner-up Erin Cressey, also from Mildenhall College of Technology, and fellow finalist Penny Miller, from Deben High School, have been on show at the shop in Langton Place.
Claire Mulholland, from the shop, said the competition involved students designing a prom or ball dress, alongside a mood board.
She said: “The artwork was very professional and the finalists were given the task of producing the burnt flowers and embroidered leaves to finish their designs.
“I was so impressed by their enthusiasm and creativity. They put so much effort into the whole project.”
