The Museum of East Anglian Life is aiming to raise £2,000 to help restore the historic Eastbridge Windpump.
Originally constructed near Leiston in the mid nineteenth century, the windpump was rebuilt at the museum between 1978 and 1980.
Supporters can help by sponsoring a shutter or lever.
A special plaque will be fixed to the building bearing the names of everyone who supported the refurbishment.
Museum Director Tony Butler said: “This is a great opportunity for people to demonstrate their support for the museum and make new history for the wonderful East Anglian building.”
