Motorcylist killed in Lackford crash was Ely man

The motorcyclist who died in a collision on the A1101 at Lackford on Saturday has been named as David Lister from Ely.

Mr Lister, 47, of Henley Way, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a design engineer at Standen Engineering in Ely and was married with three teenaged children.

Police were called by the ambulance service just before 1.30pm on Saturday after a collision between a Ford Fusion and a motorcycle.

Suffolk Police said the road was closed between the Icknield Way junction at Lackford and West Stow Road, Flempton, until 5.55pm.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Suffolk Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
