Motorcyclist suffers life changing injury in collision in Bury St Edmunds


A motorcyclist suffered a life changing injury following a collision in Bury St Edmunds last night.

Suffolk Police weere called at 5.20pm to reports of a collision between a blue Yamaha motorcycle and a blue Volvo V70, in Oakes Road at the junction with Davoren Walk.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment for a life changing injury.

The road was closed following the collision and reopened just after 9pm.

Police would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision, or who may have seen the manner of driving of either vehicle beforehand.
