Motorcyclist suffers life changing and life threatening injuries in collision in Elmswell


Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Elmswell.

Suffolk Police were contacted today (Saturday, March 4) at 3.05pm following reports that a red Suzuki motorcycle and a grey Skoda Octavia car had collided on the A1088, on the roundabout connecting the A14 with Church Road.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s hospital with life changing and life threatening injuries.

The road was closed but reopened at 7pm.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who has any information about the manner of driving of either of the vehicles prior to the collision.

Anyone with any information should contact Suffolk Police on 101 quoting CAD reference number 248 of Saturday 4 March.
