A woman was taken to hospital by air ambulance on Sunday after falling from her motorbike in Thetford.

The Magpas Air Ambulance team landed in the town at around 2.15pm to treat the injured motorcyclist.

The woman, thought to be in her 40s, had sustained a serious leg and pelvis injury.

She was sedated before being flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, where she arrived in a serious but stable condition.

Norfolk Police and an East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) paramedic crew also attended.
