Motorcyclist dies in collision in Lackford

A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a car on the A1101 in Lackford this afternoon.

Police were called by the East of England Ambulance Service at around 2pm this afternoon, Saturday September 12, to reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a car.

The male driver of the motorcycle was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A Police spokeswoman said: “The road is currently closed and diversions are in place whilst officers continue the collision investigation.

“Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.”

Any witnesses are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 quoting reference CAD 211 of 12 September 2015.
