The victim of a fatal crash on the A143 in Great Barton on Sunday has been named by police as Liam Jolly, of Moreton Hall, Bury St Edmunds.

Officers were called at 11.50am to reports of a collision between a Range Rover and a motorbike.

Biker Liam Jolly, of Manor Ash Drive, Moreton Hall, was declared dead at the scene.

Liam’s family have declined to comment at this time.

His neighbour, Alison Hawes, said: “It’s just awful. I can’t believe it really - it’s been such a shock to everyone.

“It’s dreadful - one minute he’s there and the next he’s gone. We’ll all miss him.”

Police are continuing in their efforts to trace the driver of a blue Vauxhall, thought to be a Corsa, who they think may be able to assist with their enquiries.

It is believed the car may have been overtaken by the motorbike before the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the accident, or believes they may have seen any of the vehicles prior to it, should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 quoting CAD 182 of June 7.
