The fund-raising project, launched in May 2016, now has nearly 50,000 bricks in place. The completed LEGO cathedral will be made up of an estimated 200,000 bricks.

Visitors are invited to donate to place a brick on the model and help to raise money towards the cathedral’s work with younger people and the development and maintenance of visitor facilities in the historic building.

The build area is open each day from 10.30am-4.30pm Monday to Saturday and 12.30-2.30pm on Sundays. At other times there is a donation box and bricks are added later.
