THE mighty males of West Suffolk raised funds, publicity and their top lips.
But as last month came to an end the hair-raisers cut off their moustaches grown during Movember to promote awareness of men’s health and prostrate and testicular cancer.
Pupils at Horringer Middle School, in Bury St Edmunds, got an early lesson as nine staff took part, raising £500 for the national cause, arranging teach-ins for the pupils who even got involved by drawing moustache designs they wanted for the nine.
At Kent Blaxhill builders merchants Mark Levitt had his tash waxed, with a body wax at Stephen John’s salon on the Moreton Hall estate, raising £500.
A group of teachers at Thurston Community College also took part.
