The Mildenhall Sea Cadets are looking to boost their ranks of volunteers with a recruitment event this week.

The community organisation is looking for members to join its team as volunteer instructors, helping with the Unit Management Team (UMT) or supporting via the Parents & Supporters Association (PSA).

The event will take place on Thursday, March 5, at the Sea Cadets headquarters in Recreation Way from 7.15pm.

Catering for children aged 10 to 18 years, the Sea Cadets is a charity teaching life skills including leadership and teamwork through nautical activites.

All members will get the chance to help with fundraising and recruiting more volunteers.

Those interested in becoming volunteer instructors should be able to attend sessions on Monday and/or Thursday evenings and occasionally at weekends.

Potential UMT or PSA members should be able to attend sessions once a month and occasional functions.

For more information contact the Sea Cadets’ chair Sara Kindler on 07903 849329.
