Mildenhall and Red Lodge Scouts have profited by more than £2,000 in just six months of being Mildenhall Sainsbury’s Local Charity Partner.

The total so far stands at £2,160, of which £1,578 was earned by the youngsters doing bag packing at the tills over two days at Christmas, with bucket collection on another day.

In addition, Sainsbury’s staff have been raising funds for the scouts, who the store will be supporting until May.

Mildenhall Rotary Club also collected £436.80p for good causes with a Christmas bucket collection.
