The new owner of West Suffolk radio station Zack FM has said he plans to get more involved in local events.

Since its takeover in July the Mildenhall-based station, which broadcasts in Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, has been going from strength to strength.

There is some new and experienced talent on the airwaves, playing a wide range of genres from across the decades from R&B and rock to country music.

The anonymous new owner, who is also a presenter, said: “We’re here to entertain and our presenters have more freedom to play songs you like, unlike bigger stations who have more of a corporate image to live up to.”

Presenters include the Big Breakfast host Gaz Williams, Juice on weekday Drivetime, US stars John Tesh and Doug Kramer and English DJ Tony James, as well as talented newcomers appealing to listeners in the local area and on the airbases at Mildenhall and Lakenheath.
