A group of feathered friends were the main attraction at Great Heath Primary School in Mildenhall on Tuesday.

Pupils were visited a company called Owl Experience, who introduced them to six different birds including a majestic eagle owl and a barn owl.

They were taught about what makes owls unique and were treated to a stunning flying display - as well as getting the chance to have a barn owl sit on their shoulder.

Ben Jeffery, assistant headteacher, said: “It was a brilliant day, to see a large eagle owl flying in our school hall was amazing.”
