Bury St Edmunds based steampunk band Metropolis say 2013 could be a massive year for them.
The band are made up of singer Christopher Longman, bass player Pete Alexander, lead guitarist Colin White, drummer Dan Alexander, from Bury St Edmunds, and Johnny Boreham on keyboards, from Stowmarket.
The band blends progressive rock, retro futurism and sci-fi new wave in an exciting, new and original sound.
Metropolis have been stunned by their recent successes, including being featured in Viva La Rock magazine and being invited on the Sounds of Steam radio show in America.
Christopher said: “We are picking up fans all over the world which is fantastic. This year could prove to be a massive year for us.”
The band made its debut on October 27 by opening the HallowSteam Steampunk Festival in Birmingham and played a hometown gig in Bury on December 8.
With gigs in Derby and Preston on the horizon, Metropolis are a band to keep an eye on.
